Welcome to the American International Club of Zurich!

Margaret Reilly Baer, AICZ President

Dear Fellow AICZ Members and Visitors to our Webpage,

March is off to a good start and plans are underway for our Annual General Meeting on March 21st. If you haven’t already signed up, please do so by March 15th. An added bonus is that Club members attend and enjoy the lovely meal at the historic Zunfthaus zum Grünen Glas for free.

March is great fun for another reason!

St. Patrick’s Day Get-together

Our much-beloved TGIF at Terrasse will take place on Friday the 15th as usual. As it happens, St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) falls on Sunday, a mere two days later.   As I mentioned last month, a determined group of our more “party-inclined” members felt that letting this day pass without raising a glass would be remiss, to say the least!

Therefore, there will be an impromptu apéro at Kennedy’s Irish Pub very near the ZH HB – Freischutzgasse 14, Zürich – starting at 18.00. Club members and non-members alike are welcome! Sláinte!

Voter Registration for People Living Abroad

In April, there will be a Voter Registration Event organized by the US Embassy and US Consulate in Zurich. If you are a US citizen, 18 years old or over, and haven’t yet registered to vote from abroad, join us on the evening of Friday, April 5th – 18.00-20.30. See above on this page fur further details.

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed to help with the April 5th Voter Registration event! If you would like to help, please send me an email at margaret.reillybaer@aicz.ch.
